Didier Rabino

Didier Rabino is a globally respected expert in Lean management with over 30 years of experience leading transformational improvements across healthcare, manufacturing, and service sectors. He is the President and Founder of Lean Management Systems LLC, where he brings a hands-on, practical approach to coaching leaders and teams in both the private and public sectors. His teaching and consulting engagements span a wide range of clients, from startups to global organizations, and include Shutterfly, Steelcase, Cretex, Oregon Health and Science University, and Robling Medical. Didier has held senior executive and operational leadership roles at Fairview Health Services, HealthEast, and Andersen Corporation, where he led large-scale Lean transformations, strategy deployment efforts, and frontline engagement systems. Earlier in his career, he held various leadership and engineering roles at Steelcase in France, England, and the United States. A Shingo Institute Faculty Member and Examiner, Didier is also a certified Lean Bronze instructor and portfolio examiner for the AME/SME/Shingo certification alliance. He is a frequent speaker for professional organizations, including the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE), Project Management Institute (PMI), Manufacturers Alliance, Catalysis, the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), and the Performance Excellence Network (PEN). Didier is the 27th recipient of IISE’s highest honor, recognizing professionals of acknowledged eminence. In 2023, PEX Network recognized him as one of its Top 50 Thought Leaders. Didier has contributed to several influential Lean publications, including Creating a Lean Culture, Management on the Mend, and Becoming the Change. He holds Lean certifications from the University of Michigan, University of Tennessee, and Northwestern University, among others, and has been recognized with the prestigious Honorary Member Award from IISE. He is fluent in English and French, and currently resides in Wilmington, North Carolina.
